Rotion is reusable packaging management software. It tracks, manages, and recovers returnable and refillable packaging: crates, pallets, kegs, IBC totes, totes and RPCs, cups, and more. Every asset gets a digital identity, every handover is logged, and every partner in the chain works from the same record.
What does Rotion do?
Rotion gives each reusable asset a digital identity and records its lifecycle: movements, handovers, washes, repairs, and status changes. Teams see where assets are, who holds them, and how they circulate. That applies to returnable transport items (RTIs) in Europe and to returnable containers, reusable plastic containers (RPCs), totes, and dunnage in the US, in one system.
Instead of reconciling spreadsheets, teams manage balances per partner, spot assets that stop circulating, and make recovery routine. Rotion is also a foundation for regulatory readiness under the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), and relevant for US producers as state packaging EPR laws such as California SB 54 take shape.
Who is Rotion for?
Rotion is built for organizations that own or operate fleets of returnable assets: pooling and fleet operators, producers shipping in returnable packaging, cooperatives that share a fleet, foodservice reuse schemes running cups and takeaway packaging, and rental businesses tracking equipment. Every kind of returnable asset runs on the same Rotion platform. It covers serialized items and batch-level flows alike, so you can mix asset types without running separate tools.

How does Rotion work across multi-party chains?
Rotion is designed for chains where not every partner is equally mature. Producers, fleet owners, service partners, logistics providers, and retailers participate without custom builds: a partner confirms a handover in the browser or on a phone, and your drivers can record scans for partners who do nothing at all. What makes Rotion different?
Three things. First, serialized asset identity: every asset carries a named owner, holder, and last confirmed location, so when a crate goes missing you can ask about that specific crate, and asset loss shows up immediately instead of at year-end counts.
