Security, access control and deployment options

Rotion offers role-based access on Scale and up, plus SSO, audit logs, and on-premise or private cloud deployment on the Custom plan.

Last updated: 29 September 2026

Rotion controls who sees and does what in a multi-party loop. Role-based access and permissions are available on the Scale plan and up. SSO (SAML/SCIM), audit logs and compliance exports, on-premise or self-hosted deployment, dedicated instances, and SLA-backed support are available on the Custom plan.

Who controls what each party sees?

You do. Rotion's role-based access and permissions, available on Scale and up, define per team, vendor, and entity what each user sees and does. What each customer and use case can access is a configuration decision, and the choice of which data reaches which party, on what terms, stays with you. Partners in the same loop never see more than their role allows.

This matters most in multi-party chains, where producers, service partners, and retailers share one operational record but not one commercial relationship. See how Rotion handles multi-party rollouts.

How does enterprise sign-in and auditing work?

On the Custom plan, Rotion supports SSO (SAML/SCIM), so sign-in runs through your identity provider and access is managed centrally. Every user also has one login across all Rotion modules, carried in a secure session, and new users join by invitation with expiring tokens rather than open registration.

Auditing is built into the record itself. Movements, handovers, and status changes are logged automatically, and audit logs and compliance exports give you a complete, exportable record of who did what and when. Any correction to an event, including backdated fixes, keeps a field-level audit trail of what changed, by whom, and why; deleted events are retained in the audit history rather than erased, and API keys are stored hashed, with expiry dates and last-used tracking.

Where does Rotion run, and can it run on-premise?

Rotion's standard offering is cloud-hosted in the European Union on Microsoft Azure. For organizations with strict data or compliance requirements, the Custom plan offers an on-premise or self-hosted deployment option based on Rotion's containerized (Docker) architecture, as well as dedicated instance or private cloud deployment. The plan comparison shows where each deployment option sits.

What support and uptime commitments does Rotion offer?

Support levels depend on the plan. The Custom plan includes SLA-backed uptime and support and a dedicated account manager. On Launch and Scale, support is included without a contractual SLA; if your organization requires defined response times, Custom is the fit. See plans and pricing.

Does Rotion support multiple languages?

Yes. A multilingual user interface is part of Rotion's feature set, so operators, drivers, and partners can work in their own language across countries and sites. Which plan includes it is shown on the rotion.eu pricing page.
